Stage 1, there are now  vacancies for 2020/21.
This course runs for ten months,  consisting of three workshop days each month.
Maximum number of 6 students per course.

The course will include visits  to Stately Homes, lectures from outside agencies and opportunities to fabric suppliers.

Syllabus:
 

• Drop-in seat both modern & traditional materials*

• Stitched and stuffed chair

• Sprung dining chair

• Sprung arm exercise*

• Box Cushion with piping and zip

• Bolster End with piping

• Upholstered and lined box with decorative detail and deep-buttoned lid

• Portfolio containing notes and details of work in progress

• Written Research Project: Fabric Characteristics, Identification & Appropriate Usage

*Upholstery supplies included in course fee for this piece.
